UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC)  conducts INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAM  every year  

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING:

Group A Services/Posts

(i) Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers.

(ii) Indian Railway Stores Service (Electrical Engineering Posts).

(iii) Central Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Service (Electrical Engineering Posts).

(iv) Indian Naval Armament Service (Electrical Engineering Posts).

(v) Central Power Engineering Service (Electrical Engineering Posts).

(vi) Military Engineering Service (IDSE) Electrical and MECHANICAL Cadre) (Electrical Engineering Posts).

(vii) Assistant Executive Engineer Group A (Electrical Engineering Posts) in the Corps of E.M.E, Ministry of Defence.

(viii) Assistant Naval Store officer Grade I (Electrical Engineering Posts) in Indian Navy.

 Minimum Educational Qualification:

For admission to the examination, a candidate must have:—
           obtained a degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956

You will be in a good position,if you get a job.. but quiet difficult to prepare for this exam

Assistant Engineers (Electrical) :

AGE : Shall not be more than 34 years. Upper age limit will be
relaxed upto 5 years in respect of SC/ST/BC candidates and upto 10 years in respect of
P.H.Candidates.

QUALIFICATIONS : Must possess B.E/B.TECH/A.M.I.E./Electrical & Electronics
Engineering or equivalent qualification in the similar discipline from any recognized University in India.

In apgenco:

Assistant Engineers (Electrical) :

Must possess B.E/B.Tech/A.M.I.E., Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification from any recognized University in India

SELECTION PROCEDURE :The selection of candidates for appointment will be made 100% on written examination

SALARY: 23,000  to  35,000

In aptransco:

same qualifications and  procedure but salary is less than apspdcl and apgenco
